Waitakaruru Arboretum

I recently visited The Sculpture Park at Waitakaruru Arboretum in the Waikato. What an incredibly inspiring experience!

The park beautifully combines art, nature, and environmental restoration, with sculptures thoughtfully placed throughout winding pathways, mature trees, ponds, and dramatic quarry landscapes.

As someone passionate about landscape design and creating spaces that connect people with nature, I loved seeing how the sculptures blended so naturally into the environment.

The transformation of the old quarry into a thriving arboretum is a powerful example of how thoughtful design can restore and celebrate the natural environment.
